Welcome to TEKREBEL DESIGN STUDIO

My name is Charles and I started TekRebel Designs Studio (TDS) in September of 1999 as nothing more than scribbles I did in my calculus class in high school. I started this website in February of 2000 as a online gateway to my struggling art portfolio. The first year was rough I'll admit and no one was visiting. So I came up with this bright idea to blog about my life as I lived it.

By 2001 TDS was getting hundreds of hits a day, which eventually jumped up to thousands. In 2002 TDS had won numerous awards including one presented by Time Magazine for 2002 and 2003 for design and content. At one point I was the number one male blogging site on the web. My online moniker Tekrebel was recognizable on many of the online communities you know today.

My hits jumped up from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands ultimately hitting my website apex at 5.6 million hits in May of 2004. Although the last 5 years I've taken a passive approach to promoting this site as anything more than my online portfolio, I have documented more than 200 million hits since its creation.

As an individual I have created, worked on, developed, maintained, and webmaster-ed hundreds of sites within a 10 year span. I've worked with the elites of the business world and outlasted some of the best designers competition has to offer.

About This Site

I was once told that art is never completed, it is only abandoned. I have continually made, remade, revamped, and destroyed this site only to start it over again… and I've done this for a decade. It's what keeps my passion going, continually trying to be better than I was before.
