The Art of War Guild as Magic cards

In 2010 I created these Magic Cards for the guild members of The Art of War. I was appointed as the Art of War guild webmaster in World of Warcraft. I’ve been doing this since the Burning Crusade expansion. Our initial guild members are actually life-long friends. Some of us even know each other from elementary school. I developed these cards to convince members to stay with us long-term, and so people on our website could have avatars. Most of our members played Magic at one point, some even at a professional level. Card images are in-game screenshots of the character attached with either a fun inside-guild joke of their personality or something they did in-game that’s memorable. I have lately been obsessed with games like Elo and LOL, I love to go on P4R-Gaming and get boosters for my games, there tons of different skins for League of Legends available at proskins.io as well.

Findapix Cards – FAP Cards – Volume 3

FAP Cards

Findapix Cards (or FAP Cards for short) were invented as a fun little way to bring our online community together. In 2001 I was part of a picture-based web community called Findapix (or FAP as we liked to call it before it had a second meaning) and I frequented the forums on a daily basis. Many of the friendships I have today came from that site. Many of us were into Photoshopping wars and had career backgrounds in design. People who received FAP Cards often used them as their avatar.

My friend CJ from www.defytrends.com created the first 2 volumes of FAP Cards. He’s one of the select few designers I respect and I would even go as far as to credit him for making me think outside the box when in came to finding off-the-wall design solutions for clients. I took what he created, with permission, and continued the tradition while adding in my own design flair.

All images were used with permission at the time of creation.
